Student Branch is a group of IEEE student members in the same school/university. It gives students the opportunity to meet and learn from fellow students, as well as faculty members and professionals in the field. An active IEEE Student Branch can be one of the most positive elements in the school offering programs in IEEE-designated fields of Engineering, Computer Science, and Information Technology.

Student Branch activities offer numerous educational, technical, and professional advantages of IEEE membership through special projects, activities, meetings, tours, and field trips.

Furthermore, IEEE student members have many benefits such as free Microsoft software, Magazines, Newsletter, Scholarships, Awards, Digital library, Conference registration discounts, E-mail IEEE@Google apps, Contests, Competitions, etc.

Establishing an IEEE Student Branch requires the signatures of 12 IEEE Student members, an IEEE member as Counselor, and two IEEE members as supporters from the same establishment to launch a petition for forming a student branch. Learn more about how to form a student branch.

Any student who join IEEE and indicates the university or school in his/her educational profile will be automatically a member of its IEEE student branch.
